A chilly fall wedding at the lovely Twickenham House in Jefferson, North Carolina. I had the opportunity to work with Enowen Photography as a second photographer and meet this fun couple.
Experiencing shooting at weddings venues close to my new home in West Jefferson, North Carolina has been a thrill! Twickenham House was high on my list. With stunning mountain top views, cozy fireside reception vibes, and a house that is FULL of character where couples get ready for the festivities - it has a lot to offer.
RIVERSIDE CEREMONY AT BROWN MOUNTAIN BEACH
Married by the river, surrounded by family and friends at Brown Mountain Beach Resort. A magical place, tucked away in the North Carolina mountains. Witnessing Stephanie and Spencer’s wedding day was a treat for all involved!

During an impromptu engagement shoot, my wife and I first met Jenni about seven months before our wedding, so Jenni could understand our essence and get an idea of our style. When my wife and I saw the result of something as off the cuff as meeting at a brewery to take some photos, we, along with our family, loved the product, and our friends were jealous! Not enough may be said of Jenni’s ability to see people in their environment and capture candid moments without impeding upon them.
During our wedding day, Jenni had the remarkable ability to command the attention of our guests for the critical “group shots”; then was able to blend back in and buzz around like a bee collecting the best bits of pollen, noticing the moments we would have missed otherwise, while also taking time to be sure my wife and I took our photos in the various settings we desired. Jenni Chandler is a photography ninja!
My wife and I have already decided should we ever need any other photography services, we would do whatever we needed to make sure Jenni was the one photographing our crucial moments. DAY AFTER WEDDING ADVENTURE IN THE BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS
A day after wedding adventure for these newlyweds! After a ceremony and celebration with family and friends the day before, they slipped back into their wedding attire and hiked through the Blue Ridge Mountains for epic sunset portraits. Just the two of them, reminiscing and about their wedding day and soaking up that newlywed bliss.

This destination wedding at Fred W. Symmes Chapel in Cleveland, SC was one of my favorites this past fall! I had the opportunity to meet the bride, and mother of the bride in person prior to the wedding day. With destination weddings, this isn’t always the care, but a welcomed bonus! Seeing everything fall into place made it all the more meaningful. Brevard locals Anarie and Petal and Fern did a fabulous job with hair and makeup and stunning florals, respectively. A fabulous team created the most beautiful bridal portrait setting at The Venue in downtown Asheville. The Venue is a versatile venue location with space for both a ceremony and wedding reception, large or small. With a brick wall back drop, soft and natural window light, and a balcony overlooking the city, the open space at The Venue offers multiple photography settings to be creative. Brittany with Petal and Fern put together some show stopper florals with pops and mauve, blush, ivory, and eucalyptus. Not only did they look incredible being held by the lovely Amayah, they also smelled amazing! Bridal hair and makeup by Anarie photographed beautifully - a natural and romantic look for the bride. Maggi Bridal found the perfect dress! Jesse of Vintage Indigo worked her magic and pulled the colors from the florals to create a sweetheart table setting, complete with vintage furniture, crystal glasses, and golden pears, that tied the whole look together and complemented the setting for bridal portraits so well.
After an amazing time together at The Venue, we ended our day with a treat from French Broad Chocolate, conveniently located just around the corner in downtown Asheville. Special thanks to The Planning Asheville and everyone’s talent to help create these beautiful bridal portraits!

The rain on Amber and Matt’s wedding day made for deep moody tones, and romantic vibes. The bride and groom shared a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony in front of a handmade triangle arch, adorned with a floral creation by Shady Grove Flowers. Amber looked STUNNING in her Rue De Seine wedding dress! Her hair and makeup held up perfectly in the rain, thanks to Just Wing It Artistry. The bride’s ring has the phases of the moon engraved on the inside of the band - a unique detail that was carried throughout the wedding in other ways. A handmade moon photo booth backdrop and their favorite mineral water as favors labeled with “I love you “topo” the moon and back, chico” for guests to enjoy. You can never predict just how the weather will be in the mountains of Western North Carolina, but Amber and Matt took the rain in stride. They ventured out for cuddles under the umbrella and an epic night shot to help them always remember what a special wedding day it was.

I have so many fond memories from growing up and playing by this pond. I was thrilled when Chelsea and John chose this spot, on North Carolina family land, as the spot to to exchange their wedding vows. It was an honor to photograph their day and this chapter of their love story. Chelsea followed a path by the pond and through the woods, lined with sign after sign, with quotes including “love is not proud” and “love always protects.” Beneath the pine trees, John and Chelsea shared an intimate ceremony including a foot wash. The sun glowed through the forest as family and friends witnessed a beautiful exchange of wedding vows. The wedding celebration continued with dancing, family style dining, and a classic sparkler exit. Family came together to make sure the day was perfect, and it absolutely was.

Pretty Place Chapel draws couples from all over with it’s beauty! This sweet couple traveled from California to hold a self uniting wedding ceremony in front of a few of their closest friends and family. The weather was clear and allowed for a breathtaking view of the mountains behind the cross in the chapel.
Some of my favorite moments from their wedding day include -
- They chose to have an intimate first look in the woods prior to the ceremony to help relax their nerves.
- A mix of Chinese and English were spoken throughout the ceremony. They each wrote and shared their own heartfelt vows.
- An incredible amount of thoughtful planning and detail was put into their wedding, which allowed for ample time for bride and groom portraits. I don’t think they ever stopped smiling during this happy time!
